Conservation

It's rare that I can buy a toy that will purportedly also save me money, but the reviews of the Kill-a-Watt at Amazon certainly have me convinced that it is the device for me. Finally: I can discover just how much power Pete's new computer sucks up! Whether its curiously fast swift/suspend/whatever, I don't have Vista mode really saves as much energy as Microsoft claims! If there is an advantage to turning the TiVo on Standby after each use! I can compose spreadsheets of my monthly energy consumption for each power outlet, and determine the precise cost vs. convenience ratio to be considered the next time that I ponder turning on the air conditioning when it gets over 88 degrees!

I know. With fun times like that in store, I should really host more parties.

This sounds awesome! Max and I have been watching "Living with Ed" and I've been trying to find ways to increase our conservations efforts. This might be just the thing.
