Sometimes I really feel like this Calvin and Hobbes strip -- I spend the majority of my week contemplating and deliberating the possibilities for all of the delicious things that I can cook over the weekend.
For example, I have this ridiculous recipe for caramel-coated, chocolate-drizzled marshmallows on a stick that I'm dying to try out. And it's about time for the Jejune collective to make a third attempt at Project Perfect Piecrust. There have also been rumors that the Cheesecake Competition is lurking around the corner, and after last year's tasty but underdone entry I'd like to get some more practice in before it's go time. Then again, the perfect window for fall desserts won't be open for much longer, and I'd also like to get this apple tart in before it closes. Or, I could go all retro and try out these caramelized Rice Krispie treats which are getting so much buzz. So much food, so little time.
Also worth mentioning: this morning's expedition to Walgreens -- a place I almost never visit, but when I do, always sees me prowling the seasonal candy aisles -- revealed that Cadbury now has Christmas Creme Eggs out. Oh, joy! I was also tempted by a Hello Kitty Marshmallow Lollipop (though I wouldn't hold out much hope for its taste to equal its cuteness). No sign of last year's Candy Cane Kisses yet, but I'll be scouring the shelves at Woodman's for them.
I do kind of think that I was a hummingbird in a past life.
Not sure if you're aforementioned Perfect Pie Crust is an attempt to make one of your own concotion, but if you're looking for the perfect recipe, I've got a great candidate for you.

Nicole made a pie crust using the Blue Ribbon COuntry Cookbook and it's amazing! It was flakey, buttery, and crumbly in just the right amounts.
