So I did our taxes today instead of some really, really needed revisions to my dissertation proposal. My schoolwork somehow always gets done before the deadline and without any loss of sleep on my part, but I've been getting antsy about our tax refund. What with all the traveling we're doing this month and the possibility of having to pay an extra security deposit and double rent for a couple of months for our foreign vacation home (read: future apartment in Montréal), it'll be welcomed.

And then I realized: we'll really be pulling one over on the United States government soon. We'll be spending our economic stimulus check on moving to Canada. HA HA!

Liberals! Green! Green Liberals! Why, O why do you hate Amerika?

Sorry, just me being envious. Be sure to get paid in Euros when you get to Canada. I'm thinking of converting to a pure high-fructose corn syrup economy.
