Just realized: sometime this winter, I gained the ability to look out the window and gauge how cold it is. To inform this judgment, I think that I'm drawing upon a combination of cloud cover, apparent hardness of the ice on the street, any visible moisture on the driveway, the appearance of the snow piled in mounds outside the front window, the current icicle situation, and the quality of the steam billowing from the furnace vent outside. To wit: I looked out the front window and decided that it looks warm. A check of the current temperature on my computer reveals that it is 25. I win!
If you read this post and thought that I'm trying too hard to justify living in this impractical climate, you're probably also correct.
Sorry, unless you are talking Celsius 25 does not count as "warm." I know what I am talking about having gotten used to wimpy NC winters.
And this from the native Minnesotan!
On the plus side, it looks like the mayor has moved spring earlier this year for us.
Totally agree with Paul. And that from a Canadian (albeit one that lives in "the south").
I used to know this guy in college who would say things like. "Sleep is for bitches!" or "Food is for bitches!" I wonder what he would think of your thin-blooded NC attitude towards warm. Perhaps warm weather is for bitches as well.
The fact that you think 25 is WARM is scary LOL but I know what you mean...
25 is warm??? I really don't miss living up north!
