Fall Arriving
Sometime during the past week, an invisible switch tripped and it became fall. The smell of wood-burning fires has started to seep in around our mostly-closed windows at night, and when I wake up in the morning the air is fabulously crisp and in the 50s. To quote a friend’s note on my Facebook page, “there is just nothing bad about fall,” and I concur. Except for maybe wrangling the competing urges to make the most of the weather and not being able to walk and bike everywhere around the city every day, but that’s okay.
On other fronts, it’s also forced the cats to huddle together for warmth. Or maybe they just don’t want to cede the best pile of warm laundry to the other. That’s probably more likely.

Ah, kitties…. we loves them!
