Good Morning
I swear this isn’t going to turn into a blog that features nothing but embedded Youtube clips, but as I drifted off to sleep last night I was prevented by a sudden fit of giggles upon remembering this video (which I’d suggest viewing with the sound on):
I might’ve felt sorry for the kitten if I hadn’t spent the past five years living with much larger cats who have performed the same precise maneuver hundreds of times with no ill effects.
On a completely different topic: why was I not informed that the most recent banners for this site were so hideous? I have learned my lesson: despite not doing much design work, I nevertheless have A Style, and no good will come of trying to deny it. And so, we are back to the asterisks, this time with the addition of a (to my eye) gleeful scamp of a turn-of-the-century paperboy.
The first time I watched this video I also clicked on “Fail Cat 2.” Some kids put a chip bag on a kitten’s head and keep the cat from pushing it off. It’s just mean, really.
Once lived with a cat who would perform a similar maneuver, but would jump and bouce off of your chest as you walked by. In the middle of the night as you, ie me, got up bleary eyed to go to the washroom. Decidedly less cute, but with the added mid-night yelps and swearing, probably even more funny for uninvolved viewers.
