Lost in Translation, Part II

So–as part of my ongoing tour of high-fiber, high-protein cereals that are my best bet for not leaving my stomach growling by 10:30 am–I picked up a box of something by President’s Choice (Canada’s seemingly contradictory high-end boutique generic brand) called “On Track.”  But it wasn’t until I opened the box earlier today that I noticed the name on the French side of the box: “Victoire!”, exclamation point included.

Seriously, I would buy the cereal for that name alone.  Who doesn’t want to pour themselves a big bowl of Victory! first thing in the morning?

    Katie J.,

Grape-Nuts! But, alas, I have observed that there are NO grapes, and NO nuts in Grape-Nuts. Only gravel!

It just dawned on me why it is now raining EVERY damn day here in Monterey. The AT&T Pro-Am golf tournament is over at Pebble Beach. So, of course!
