Holiday Leftovers

I’ve spent some time going through the many photos taken on our Thanksgiving and Christmas trips, and — as tends to happen, post-holidays — there are still some leftovers lurking around.  To wit:

The pre-vacation apartment cleaning session, here presented as an illustration of why we tend to ventriloquize Sebastian’s inner dialogue as some variation upon the theme of “Hey, you!  I love you!  I’ll help you with whatever you’re doing right now!  See!  I help!  Watch me help!”

In this instance, Sebastian, in the spirit of feline community-mindedness,  has decided to help Peter clean the bathtub.

From Thanksgiving: cinnamon is flammable, but only for a brief moment.  It looks cooler in photos.

From our most recent flight out of Montreal: I always like to stock up on some goodies from our local bulk store before traveling, but I failed to notice that the sun-dried figs look downright evil if you position them correctly.  They are, however, extremely tasty.

From Christmas: we spent some time making fun of my brother-in-law’s snowboarding jacket.  (We were in Kansas.) “Oh, yeah!  Put that one on the blog!” he jeered as people started taking photos.  Well, I wasn’t planning on it, but because you asked, Drew…
