 Why List?
In Nick Hornby's High Fidelity, the narrator attempts to restore emotional tranquility by compulsively rearranging his record collection. As a grad student in English Lit whose CD collection is definitively arranged first by artist name, then chronologically, I mark time by what I've read and when.

 Details
I haven't bothered to make a back catalogue, or keep track of periodicals, newspapers, and the backs of cereal boxes. “Read” is a designation I determine for each individual case; I still think that 1200 out of 1500 possible pages of Clarissa is pretty damn good.

Book links are all directed to Amazon through my Associates account. Go ahead and get them from wherever you please; I use Amazon because Movable Type 4.1 has a nifty plugin that lets me easily link-ify to my heart's content.
