The Bad: I only recently found out that my camera isn't compatible with Windows Vista, and thus I can't take photos of any of the many backlogged projects that I've completed but not yet posted about. While I was planning on buying a new camera this spring, I'm still bummed -- after all, I still need to save up the money!
The Good: I'm really digging Burda Style's collection of mostly free, downloadable patterns. While I had fit issues with the Zoe dress, the comments show me that I'm not alone (and have some pretty good suggested modifications). I'm also totally drooling over the Hikaru jacket.
Could you download them onto a friend's computer or at your parents house and then upload to flickr or something?
What about a flash card reader of the appropriate type? They're certainly cheaper than a new camera, and if you buy a multi-type one, you can probably keep on using it after you get the shiny new camera.
Good suggestions both. I think I'm going to save my money right now for a new camera (especially since a new model of the one I want is coming out), but I'll definitely hang on to the old one. If I ever finally do some international traveling, I could easily bring it along with me (and get a cheap flash card reader or something) and not worry about it getting stolen.
